San Fedele Intelvi

San Fedele Intelvi is a famous and lively tourist center on the wide plateau of Aprica (750 m) between the lariano and the Swiss versant of Lugano, at the crossing of the valley roads.

The townhall territory extends until Monte Generoso(1701 m) on the Swiss border and until the Val Breggia where there is the hamlet of Erbonne. The inhabited center is constituted by San Fedele Inferiore, situated in a beautiful valley with grasslands and chestnut woods, and San Fedele Superiore, the more ancient nucleus, situated under the slopes of Monte Luria (1293 m). San Fedele is with Lanzo the most important town of the valley.

In San Fedele there was a castle, that lied in the area of the town hall; on its ruins it would have been built up the villa of the Brentano, which had several owners.

Nowadays San Fedele is a large tourist center and offers to the its visitors hotel structures, tennis courts, golf courses and in Pian delle Noci there is the possibility to horse ride, ski and many other activities.
